Watford election results

On Thursday the 4th of June Watford Liberal Democrats won again. Not only did the Liberal Democrats re-elect our four sitting councillors but we also gained a seat previously held by Robert Gordon, the Leader of Conservative controlled Hertfordshire County Council, who decided to move to a seat in Broxbourne. This was the last Conservative County held seat in Watford Borough.

Andrew Duff MEP was also re-elected and here in Watford we topped the poll in the European Elections! Andrew is now the 4th on the list of elected MEP's in the region, one place up from last time, squashing Labour into fifth place.

In Oxhey Park, Chris Lloyd our candidate did an amazing job reducing the Tory majority to 435.

In the by-election in Leggatts ward we came second losing out by 48 votes.

In Callowland Leggatts we came in second behind the Greens and in West Watford we also came second behind Labour.
