new recycling boxes.
Recycling…
– more on the way
WATFORD Council is set to expand recycling collections from this
autumn.
From October doorstep collections of glass,
tins and plastics will be brought in area-by-area across the
town. Each household will
be issued with recycling boxes and wheelie bins for non-recyclable
waste.
Dorothy says: ‘I am proud that we are doing this, because across
the country we just can’t carry on using up landfill sites
at the rate we are doing. It is vital that we recycle, re-use
and cut down on waste.’
Currently, Watford has the highest recycling rate in Hertfordshire,
thanks to the new green waste recycling collections introduced
by the Lib Dems.
