Action against crime
DOROTHY has praised the police for the recent Operation Crystal,
which saw the arrest of many alleged drug dealers in Watford.
She says: ‘Residents have been concerned
for some time of the impact of drug dealing on local communities
and I am glad that the
police operation seems to have been a success. I am pleased that
proper treatment is being offered to drug users to help them
break the cycle
of addiction.’
The Council is an active partner in the
West Watford Against Drugs action group where all agencies are
working together
to look for
solutions to problems caused by drugs. These include everything
from parental
awareness sessions to the recent door to door survey to find
out residents views on drugs problems – see picture above.
