A message from your Lib Dem candidate Mohammed Ajab
Dear residents,
This is the first occasion on which I have stood
for public office. I am delighted at the support I have received from
friends and residents that I have spoken to so far.
I have lived in Watford for over 30 years. I went
to Central Primary and then Queens School and completed my BSc and MSc
at the University of London. I’m married with two school age children
who attend local schools. I am a Governor at Holywell Juniors.
Under the leadership of Mayor Dorothy Thornhill
the Liberal Democrats have started the programme of sorting out the
Council, cleaning up the town and restoring pride in Watford. In addition,
they have started the programme of ensuring that local government better
meets the needs of local people.
At the national and international level, it was
the Liberal Democrats who were foremost in supporting and reflecting
the views of all good and right minded people. The Liberal Democrats
rightly expressed grave concerns about the War in Iraq, in Palestine,
Afghanistan and warned about the damage it would cause to the reputation
of our great country. I actively supported these
views by campaigning against the War in Iraq.
Liberal Democrat local effectiveness, combined with
their national and international stance, has impressed me. It has made
me want to be part of the Liberal Democrats so that I can continue to
support the good work being done.
The election is on Thursday 10th June - I hope you
will give me your support. I give you my commitment that I will work
effectively to represent your views and needs.
Best wishes
Mohammed Ajab
