 A
message from your Lib Dem candidate Hugh O’Hanlon
Dear fellow residents,
It is an honour and a delight to be asked to stand
to represent the area in which I live on Watford Borough Council. Indeed,
I have been touched by the support and encouragement I have had from
friends and neighbours.
I live on the Radlett Road in the Tudor ward and
have lived in the local area for 30 years and was a founder member of
the Tudor Residents Association. My children went to local Watford schools
and I know the issues that face local people day-to-day.
Under the leadership of Mayor Dorothy Thornhill
we have started sorting out the Council, cleaning up the town and restoring
pride in Watford.
I am delighted to report that the financial accounts
of the Council have been given a clean bill of health for the first time
in four years. The Liberal Democrats have invested a lot of time and
effort cleaning up the streets, removing abandoned cars and clearing
the dumped rubbish and graffiti.
The Audit Commission has praised the progress
we’ve made in just two years.
Of course, these things take time, but after 30
years of Labour rule, I think you will agree that we have
turned the corner.
The election is on Thursday 10th June - I hope you
will give me your support.
Best wishes
Hugh O’Hanlon
