 A
message from your candidate George Derbyshire
Dear fellow residents,
I am honoured and delighted to have been ask to
stand in this election to be a new councillor for the local area I live
in.
I have lived on the Cassiobury
Estate for 23 years and know Watford and the local area really well. I
worked for the BBC for 14 years in a variety of management roles, worked
at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in the Barbican for 11 years
and for 8 years worked at The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts
in Hong Kong.
Since retiring in 1997 I’ve been a volunteer
at Watford Citizens Advice Bureau in St Mary’s Churchyard and am
a member of the Management Committee there.
I feel that this is a real chance for me
to give something back to the community I live in and would be proud
to represent Park ward on the Borough Council.
It is the work that Mayor Dorothy Thornhill, Cllr
Jill Jenkins and the Liberal Democrats have done that has impressed me
and I am committed to working closely with them.
The election is on Thursday 10th June - I hope you
will give me your support. In return I promise that I will do my very
best to work hard, representing your views and opinions.
Best wishes
George Derbyshire
