message from your candidate: Khalid Mahmood Dear fellow residents,
I am honoured and delighted to be chosen to stand
in the election for a new councillor for this area of North Watford.
I know the local area really well having
lived here for 20 years - my children went to Orchard School and I’m
a governor at Cherry Tree School.
For my part I went to Central Primary, then Watford
Grammar School and got a degree in Business Studies from Middlesex University.
My passion is sport and I have been variously involved in lots of local
clubs and groups and still play for Bushey Cricket Club. My son and I
are regulars at Vicarage Road for the football.
After 30 years of Labour rule, Mayor Dorothy
Thornhill and the Liberal Democrats have started sorting out the Council,
cleaning up the town and restoring pride in Watford.
It is this work that Dorothy Thornhill, Cllr Maria
Green and the Liberal Democrats have done that has impressed me and I
am committed to working closely with them.
The election is on Thursday 10th June - I hope you
will give me your support.
