 A
message from your candidate Jenny McGovern
Dear fellow residents,
This is the first occasion on which I have stood
for public office. I am delighted at the support I have received from
friends and residents that I have spoken to so far.
I have lived in West Watford for over 15 years.
My son attended St Anthony’s Junior School. I now work at Watford
General Hospital as part of the bed management team.
Under the leadership of Mayor Dorothy Thornhill,
the Liberal Democrats have started the programme of sorting out the
Council, cleaning up the town and restoring pride in Watford. In addition,
they have started to ensure that local government better meets the
needs of local people.
At the national and international level, it was
the Liberal Democrats who were foremost in supporting and reflecting
the views of all good and right minded people. The Liberal Democrats
rightly expressed grave concerns about the War in Iraq and warned about
the damage it would cause to the reputation of our country.
The Liberal Democrat commitment to local campaigning
has impressed me and I would relish the chance to be part of the team.
There is much that can still be done in the local area and I would like
to put something back into the local community.
The election is on Thursday 10th June - I hope you
will give me your support. I give you my commitment that I will work
effectively to represent your views and needs.
Best wishes
Jenny McGovern
