 A
message from your candidate Rabi Martins
Dear fellow residents,
Over the last ten years I have worked closely
with many of you to make the local area better. I have represented
your views and tried to make a difference in Watford.
Under the leadership of Mayor Dorothy Thornhill
we have started sorting out the Council, cleaning up the town and
restoring pride in Watford.
I am delighted to report that the financial
accounts of the Council have been giving a clean bill of health
for the first time in four years. This is very good news!
The Liberal Democrats have invested a lot
of time and effort cleaning up the streets, removing abandoned
cars and clearing the dumped rubbish and graffiti. The
Audit Commission has praised how much progress we have made in
just two years.
Now the Town Hall is getting its act together
we feel we have begun to restore faith in the Council and pride
in Watford.
Of course, these things take time, but after 30
years of Labour rule, I think you will agree that we
have turned the corner.
I am standing for re-election on Thursday
10th June - I hope you will give me your support.
Rabi Martins
